ALL ABOUT ME

Jake West

I am a lighting engineer for festivals, theatres, stages and events. This is my main career and passion in life.

I have worked as a touring lighting designer for A-list bands, at various festivals across the UK, previously worked full time for the Exeter Phoenix venue as their deputy technical manager, part time for a hire, installation and service company called 'Showbitz' and I have worked with the likes of Wet Wet Wet, Go West, Craig David, Craig Charles, Dub Pistols and lots of local and popular well known bands across the UK. In theatre world, I have also been a stage manager for the Barnfield Theatre, Exmouth Pavilions, The Electric Palace and The Exeter Phoenix; and was the technical manager for 5 years at Clyst Vale Community College.

I am a hardworking and dedicated person who is always keen to learn new skills and have exciting experiences. I am confident with new challenges and problem solving within technical aspects. I have excellent communication skills and am very good at building relationships with new people.
